Owned by Tom Bowe, Take It Away opened its doors on Elliewood Avenue in Charlottesville, VA, in 1992. Since then, Take It Away has served the U.Va. and Charlottesville community with its sandwiches, salads, soups, and wines, as well as an assortment of chips, drinks, desserts, and gourmet items. In addition to serving walk-in customers, Take It Away offers catering options, as well as delivery for catering orders in the U.Va. vicinity.
